THOMPSON YOUTH BASKETBALL
Thompson Youth Basketball is an instructional league sponsored by Thompson Recreation. It emphasizes the development of basketball skills, good sportsmanship and leadership skills. Plus it is lots of fun! The program runs for eight weeks. For ages 6 - 14 as of 12/31/24 (no high school students).
Age 6 & 7 year olds / Rookie Co-ed
Meet Tuesday night in the MRFES gym to learn basics and for skills & drills and scrimmages. 5:30-6:30 PM. (No practice on 12/24/24 and 12/31/24)
Age 8 & 9 year olds / Junior Co-ed
One weeknight practice and Saturday morning games at 9:00 a.m. Specific practice days and times TBA. (No practice or games, 12/21/24-1/2/25)
Age 10 & 11 Boys / Senior Boys
Age 12, 13 & 14 Boys/ NBA Boys
One weeknight practice and Saturday games. Specific days and times TBA. (No practice or games, 12/21/24-1/2/25). Teams will compete in Wentworth Tournament at the end of the season, tournament schedule TBA.
Grades 5 & 6 Girls = Senior Girls
Grades 7 & 8 Girls = WNBA Girls

This evaluation night is the last chance for registrations to be taken for the season.

All youth age 8-14 must attend mandatory evaluation session at the Tourtellotte Memorial High School gym. This includes all Junior, Senior and NBA division players. We will evaluate players in order to make teams as equal as possible. Note: We are unable to grant requests for specific coaches, teams, or teammates (with the exception of immediate family members.)

Player Evaluations: Tuesday, November 19 from 5:30 - 8:00p.m. at TMHS gym
Mandatory Coaches’ Meeting: Thursday, November 21, 6:30pm at the Town Hall
Northeast Opportunities for Wellness offers scholarship. Parent should call the Rec office to have your child registered and then apply for scholarship. Scholarship applications will be processed weekly and parents should expect to hear back in five days. If not approved parents are responsible for the remaining balance.
