Ageless Grace - Mindfulness and Movement: Fitness & Brain Health
This fitness/wellness class focuses on brain and body health. For four weeks in November 202, Kara Marziali will lead the class through a series of exercises from the Ageless Grace program, which is based on the science of neuropasticity - the brain's ability to change form and function when stimulated by physical activity.
It consists of brain-stimulating movements, based on prompts you know and can imagine. These exercises include everyday movements that are natural and organic, are done while seated in a chair, and are geared for all ages and abilities. The exercises emphasize healthy longevity of the body, mind, emotions, and spirit. Participants will concentrate on different techniques focused on joint mobility, spinal flexibility, right-left brain coordination, bone density, muscle mass, cognitive function, fall prevention, systematic stimulation, balance, confidence, and playfulness.
Additionally, it's just plain FUN! Simply put, Ageless Grace fuses movement, mindfulness, and music for an experience you'll thoroughly enjoy. Bring a water bottle; we want you to stay hydrated! Wear comfortable clothing to allow freedom of movement. We will be barefoot or in socks (your choice) during the class. Bring your open mind, open heart, and be prepared to have fun!
