America’s 250th Parade, Thompson CT

Dear America’s 250th Parade Participant,
Plans for America’s 250th Thompson Parade are underway! To participate, please submit the enclosed entry form and fee by June 1st, 2026.
Each entry should offer something unique and exciting. Please consider the following guidelines when working on your entry:
• Our theme is celebrating America’s 250th. Patriotic floats are encouraged.
• We encourage music, live or recorded. Please keep it at appropriate levels.
• This is a family friendly event. Please make sure all content on floats is family friendly.
• The parade route is 1 mile long. Young children and elderly participants are encouraged to ride on a float rather than walk the entire route.
• Entrants should assemble by 7:30 am at the Tourtellotte Memorial High School parking lot (upper level) located at 785 Riverside Dr. Thompson CT. The parade will begin and end at St. Joseph Church. Walkers can be picked up at that location. Float participants can exit right onto Riverside Dr.
• Please coordinate pick-up and drop-off of your participants ahead of time to avoid traffic delays.
• Parade is rain or shine (no refunds will be given)
• Please do not throw candy or any objects from your float.
• Please submit your entry form, fee and entry description by June 1st 2026.
