Thompson's Hometown Heroes Banner Program
Honor Those Who Serve. Celebrate Our Hometown Heroes.
The Town of Thompson is proud to introduce the Thompson Hometown Heroes Banner Program, an opportunity to recognize and honor the living men and women from our community who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
Through the generosity of local families, friends, businesses, and organizations, 25 commemorative banners will be displayed along Riverside Drive and Thompson Hill Road. Each banner will feature a service member’s photograph, military branch, and years of service, recognizing their dedication and sacrifice in service to our country.
Banners will measure 2.5 feet wide by 5 feet tall and will be displayed for two years, beginning Memorial Day weekend, 2027.
Sponsor a Hometown Hero
For a $150 sponsorship, you can help honor a service member and show your appreciation for the men and women who have served our nation. Whether you are sponsoring a banner for a family member, friend, colleague, or community member, your contribution will help make this meaningful tribute possible.
We invite individuals, families, local businesses, and community organizations to participate in this special program and help us celebrate the hometown heroes who have helped protect our freedoms.
Sponsorship Details
- Sponsorship Cost: $150 per banner
- Banner Size: 2.5 feet wide by 5 feet tall
- Location: Riverside Drive and Thompson Hill Road, Thompson, CT
- Display Period: Two years, beginning Memorial Day weekend 2027
- Payment Options: Online payment or check payable to Thompson Recreation
